Pokémon Trainer Guess Kanto: An Electronic Game for Ages 6 and up

Pokemon Trainer Guess Kanto is a talking Poke Ball that plays a guessing game with whoever is holding it. A player thinks of any Pokemon from the Kanto region, then the ball asks yes-or-no questions out loud and listens for the spoken answer - answers are said aloud rather than read or selected - until it names the Pokemon. Ultra PRO puts a round at about 15 minutes and lists it for one or more players, so it works solo or passed around a group.

The ball keeps track of what it has identified. Each Pokemon it guesses correctly is added to a collection stored in the unit, and the Kanto set runs to all 151 original Pokemon rather than a selection of the better-known ones. The included Trainer Field Guide is the paper half of that: it lists each Pokemon with its type, height, weight and evolutions, so a player can look up what they have not reached yet and work through the list.

The box holds the Poke Ball unit, the Trainer Field Guide and 3 AAA batteries, so nothing else is needed to start. Ultra PRO rates it for ages 6 and up. This is an officially licensed Pokemon product; it is a standalone electronic game and does not use or require Pokemon Trading Card Game cards.
