Few duos can live up to the emotionally impactful one-two punch that are Ellie and Joel. The Last of Us managed to accomplish something unique, within a notably overdone cliche of post-apocalyptic zombie stories. The result was a touch, well-crafted adventure, and arguably one of the best video-games created to date.
Joel and Ellie, are forever immortalized in gamer’s hearts everywhere, and with The Last of Us: Part II on the horizon, plenty of die-hard fans are anxiously waiting to dive back in, picking up right where the first story left off.
