Gifts That Put the “Wow” Into Your World of Warcraft Player’s Life!
Looking for something to bring a gleam to your goblin’s eye, or get an “Oooh!” from your orc? Or maybe something for yourself as a reward for a difficult solo quest? We’re here with a list of some of the most legendary loot this side of Orgrimmar!
Customizable Class Mug
Chances are, your WoW lover is a human that consumes liquids, and could use a receptacle for such liquids! Handy, right? But you can REALLY impress them with one of these customizable mugs while simultaneously supporting small businesses through Etsy. The best part? You can have the mug display not only their name (or character name, if you want to the real brownie points), but also their favorite class with a stylized emblem. Just remember: these mugs are carefully crafted, so don’t put them in the dishwasher! Carefully read the care instructions so you can enjoy your vessel for years to come.
Ever considered what rylak claws might taste like? Neither have we, until we came across this cookbook set, and now we’re consumed with curiosity… to consume. If you buy this as a gift, consider offering to make a full Azeroth banquet as well for the major stat boost. And as a bonus, there’s also a Hearthstone cookbook as well, so if you play your “cards” right, maybe you can get dinner in return!
Never miss raid night again! While we know it can be easy to lose track of time when you’re farming, this classy wall clock will help you or your gift recipient stay on track of time (it can also work as a subtle hint if need be). So dual class in “responsible adult” and loyal Horde player, and gank this clock. Remember: raid night waits for no orc!
Not everyone has a mechanical keyboard, but for those that do, you can’t go wrong with these awesome keycaps! This Etsy seller has quite an array, from Illidan and Arthas, to Horde and Alliance emblems. Our favorite, though, has to be the Frostmourne model shown above. We love the detail of the sword and the cracked base, the colors, and just how awesome it is to have your very own Frostmourne right on your keyboard! Just please be careful not to hit the key too hard. (Disclaimer: we’re not responsible for any Frostmourne related accidents or injuries.)
Sometimes you just need a really, REALLY well-made work of art to bring a room together. It’s no rug, but we think this gorgeous Night Elf print could do the trick nicely! The night sky is rich with cool colors, and the fine details of the leaves and bark make the scene almost come to life before your eyes! You can practically feel the pride of this Night Elf Hunter, standing tall with Teldrassil in the background, beautiful and serene… (Did anybody remember to bring the marshmallows?)
Okay, look—we know, but just hear us out: what situation would NOT be improved by wearing a Murloc onesie? It’s cozy, convenient, and if you accidentally make a weird gargling sound, everyone will just assume it was intentional! Plus look at that adorable face; if you’re feeling grumpy, you can just pull the hood down and let your sweet derpy smile charm your way out of any tricky encounters. We also think it’s a fabulous gift for a significant other, because what better way is there to say “I love you” than “Mrgllwrrgllbrll”?
Art Nouveau Style Tarot Deck
This one is admittedly a little niche, but there’s definitely been a surge in popularity for tarot readings these days, and this Art Nouveau style is just absolutely stunning! You can reach out to the artist for a couple of different options, including a language preference and size. The wooden box is included as well! Just keep in mind, this deck is only the Major Arcana so if your intended recipient is experienced, be sure to let them know so they aren’t disappointed.
This isn’t the priciest item on our list, but it’s extremely cool, and well worth the price. This artist creates holographic bookmarks that sparkle and shimmer, or regular glossy bookmarks if you’re not into the holographic effect. Featuring original artwork, these bookmarks are a charming addition to any gift, or make a beautiful (and useful) DIY gift tag on the outside of any present!
This is absolutely something that every Horde member should have in case you need to send a letter of challenge to your rival Alliance guild, or a letter to your grandparent. The embodiment of nobility and class, this absolutely is a real, usable wax stamping kit that enables you to show your faction loyalty while also showing your superiority to the mortals who merely lick their envelopes to close them. This would also be especially handy if you were planning a themed event with mailed invitations (such as, perhaps, a very nerdy wedding).
2020 is over, and we’re well into 2021, but it doesn’t seem like face masks are going away any time soon. Honestly, we might be seeing masks as part of our general healthcare arsenal for a long time, so why not get something that shows off your geek cred? This face mask is a clever creation, providing 20 armor and +20 Plague Resistance, increases disease resistance for your whole party, and grants you entrance to shops. With stats like these, who wouldn’t want to equip it?
For the gamers who are also into hands-on crafts, this wooden kit provides the entertainment and challenge of building your model yourself before finishing it however you choose (the picture shows a painted complete model above). Now, I know we’ve been leaning pretty hard to the Horde side so far, but rest assured there’s also an Alliance version so no one is left out. You could even get both, though if your home becomes a battleground for the armies of Azeroth, don’t blame us!
Did somebody say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
This nifty product is a stainless steel model of Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, and also a Handy Steeper of Loose Leaf Tea! This Etsy seller makes several models (including Frostmourne) for the MMO playing, tea aficionado in your life. Combine one of these detailed steepers with a bag of delicious loose leaf tea and maybe a mug (or two), and you’ve got a gift set fit for a Prince!
We have to be honest; this whole set is absolutely phenomenal. Please ignore the watermark (it’s there for the artist’s protection) and check out the other works in this series. It’s absolutely that good. If you’re a fan of bold lines, bright colors, and simply elegant design, you owe it to whoever you’re shopping for to give these prints your consideration. (Doubly so if the person you’re shopping for is you!) According to the artist, the set also hangs at the Blizzard offices in Irvine, CA, so you know you’re in good company.
We are of the opinion that no one is ever too old for building block toys, ESPECIALLY when they include dragons! We’re absolutely taken with the tiny custom models of King Varian, Barton the gnome, and Mythrin the night elf, but as expected, it’s Deathwing that really steals the show. Just remember that this set is not considered appropriate for goblins and gnomes under the age of 8.
The incredible amount of detail on this stunning work is why it had to have a place on our list, despite its origin in the movie as opposed to the MMO. However, looking at the precision and the accuracy of how Blackhand is depicted, we’re sure anyone lucky enough to get their hands on it will be saying “WoW!”
If you need a little companion to go with your Murloc onesie (we really loved that, okay), why not procure one of these adorable little friends as well? Each one is made to order, with customizable colors, and can snuggle in your hand easily enough. Who doesn’t want a Murloc sidekick?
It was hard to pick just one item from the Mythrojan shop, but we settled on this rich leather journal, gorgeously embossed with geometric patterns and the symbol of the Horde. They specialize in medieval style World of Warcraft gear (both Horde and Alliance) so you can have your MMO swag and your Renaissance festival gear at the same time. Be sure to check them out for more medieval-themed WoW offerings!
Featuring adorable chibi versions of some of the classic WoW characters, this cotton t-shirt is a cozy way to casually show off your favorite fandom. We love bright colors and clean design, but most of all the expression on Tiny Sylvanas’ face. She’s seen enough.
Sometimes it’s good to get away from the screens for a little bit, relax, and enjoy time with friends and loved ones offline. I mean, maintenance happens, you have to do something, right? Continue your adventure with this adorable WoW board game, produced by Days of Wonder (makers of Ticket to Ride and more). We adore the design of the game pieces and tokens as well as the game board composed of the fragmented lands of Azeroth.
Before you even ask us: yes, there absolutely IS an Alliance version of this wallet. But our obvious bias aside, we also just really like the stark black and red version pictured here. Once again, this is a handmade item from Etsy which can be customized with up to 3 letters, so you can add that personal touch to your loot receptacle! (I mean, that’s what a wallet is, right?)
We started with a mug, so for the continuity that Blizzard itself deems optional, we’re going to end with one. This mug is a little more standard in size and shape, and is able to go in both the microwave and dishwasher, but that’s where it ceases to be ordinary. Buffing your intellect and stamina, this mug would make a lovely pair with one of the tea infusers listed earlier, or filled with your favorite candies.
With that, we’ve managed to farm up around 20 pieces of rare loot for you or your favorite WoW player to enjoy! With Shadowlands released on the 16th anniversary of the game’s release, it’s obvious that the journey of the Horde and Alliance is nowhere near through. It’s been an epic journey through Azeroth and even beyond, and we’re thrilled to be able to share it with you, no matter what faction you belong to, because at the end of the day we’re all playing together. Lok’tar ogar!
