Clueing For Gifts? Try These Sherlock Goodies!

Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat rocked the world with their version of the classic Sherlock Holmes stories.

Instead of setting them in the late nineteenth century, they updated the stories everyone is so familiar with and gave both the plots and the characters a modern twist.

Dr. Watson is a veteran of the recent war in Afghanistan who starts blogging and Holmes is addicted to texting people. It’s no wonder that people were captivated by this update and we’ve got plenty of great gifts for you to choose from.

Signature Coat

Sherlock Holmes has always been known for his smart overcoat, but Benedict Cumberbatch really stepped it up in Sherlock with the dark coat and flipped-up collar.

This coat is perfect for a fan of the show who wants to dress up as their favorite consulting detective. It has the same structure and six red buttons just like the one in the show.

This coat has a slit down the back and comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate a cosplayer of almost any size.

Deerstalker Hat

Of course, no Sherlock Holmes cosplay is complete without the signature deerstalker hat. Although the Cumberbatch version of Sherlock frequently forgoes hats altogether, the BBC gives a nod towards Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories by having Sherlock don a deerstalker briefly in one of the episodes.

While we can’t promise that your friend will be as handsome as the award-winning actor, this hat will definitely help them when they need to search the crime scene for clues.

Get Sherlock Wallet

Professor Moriarty, played expertly by Andrew Scott, is much more unhinged in the modern version of Sherlock than he was in the original stories.

Part of his madness involves a growing obsession with Sherlock and, specifically, getting him. His carved phrase ‘Get Sherlock’ appears on this small brown wallet.

It’s slim enough to fit in your friend’s back pocket while they put together the clues to lead them to the famous detective himself.

Sherlock Action Figure

This figurine clocks in at five inches tall, but you get a lot of detective in a small package. His arms are articulated so that you can leave them at his side or add in his violin and bow to make either a cacophonous noise or a sweet melody when he’s getting bored.

Just remember to keep all projectiles away from this Sherlock or you might end up with a few extra holes in your wall.

221B Necklace

This silver pendant is a replica of the key to enter the 221B household, famously the flat where the greatest consulting detective and his steadfast companion live.

Visitors to London will find the Sherlock Holmes Museum on Baker Street with a replica of the flat, but even people who can’t travel there will enjoy wearing this key around their necks. The approximately two-inch key comes with a 22-inch silver chain.

Sherlock Mug

While we don’t recommend telling your coworkers that you identify as a high-functioning sociopath and insulting their intellect at the same time, this hilarious mug will definitely act as a pick-me-up whenever a fan of Sherlock needs to imbibe their drink of choice.

It can hold up to 11 ounces of tea, coffee, or whatever it is you want to drink. The ceramic mug is durable enough to go in the dishwasher without a problem.

Sherlock Pencils

This set of five pencils is a great gift for a Sherlockian who is returning to school or heading off to university. Each pencil has a different expression that Sherlock used during the show, demeaning people he deemed as less intelligent than himself which turned out to be…nearly everyone.

The pencils are unsharpened and hot foil stamped with gold lettering. They range in color from red, green, dark blue, orange, and black.

Sticker Set

This 32-piece sticker set combines pictures of Sherlock as played by Benedict Cumberbatch and his distinctive silhouette from the short stories and novellas.

Each sticker is about three inches in diameter. These vinyl stickers are perfect for decorating water bottles, skateboards, notebooks, walls, dressers, desks, or anything else under the sun.

Sherlock Scarf

This beautiful dark blue scarf is a fantastic imitation of the one that Benedict Cumberbatch wore throughout the series in his depiction of Sherlock Holmes. It is made of a combination of silk and cotton, not wool like the actual scarf was.

Depending on where you live, scarves may be uncommon, but for a detective living in foggy London, they are a must-have.

Autographed Script Page

This script page is a reprint of a signed copy that can be bought with or without a frame.

It was signed by Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes), Martin Freeman (John Watson), Una Stubbs (Mrs. Hudson), Rupert Graves (Lestrade), Louise Brealey (Molly Hooper), and Mark Gatiss (Mycroft Holmes and Co-Creator). It shows the first episode, A Study in Pink’s cover page which is a must-have for any good fan.

Sherlock Tee Shirt

This 100% cotton grey tee shirt is perfect for any Sherlock fan. Along with Sherlock’s headshot at the top, it also displays the words: Consulting detective for hire 221B Baker Street as well as one of his signature phrases when he exclaimed in a fit of pique “I’m not a psychopath.

I’m a high-functioning sociopath. Do your research.”

Sherlock Candle

This wonderfully scented candle evokes the scene of the consulting detective at his finest, pouring over evidence from a case as he obsesses over every detail, looking for the final piece of the puzzle.

The soy wax candle has 75-90 hours of burn time, which is plenty long to solve the baffling case, and smells of old pages, bourbon, and gun powder to represent his medical colleague, Dr. Watson, whose good sense to carry a gun saved their lives countless times.

Sherlock Poster

This giclee art print poster measures about a foot wide and a foot and a half long so it is the perfect size for a college dorm room or the inside of a bedroom for a super Sherlock fan.

It depicts the silhouette of Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock with a series of the detective’s most memorable quotes from the show filling up his head.

Of course, they’re all insults to other people about their tiny brains when compared to his massive intellect, but fans are used to that.

Sherlock Funko Pop

This Sherlock Funko Pop is an adorable addition to anyone’s collection. Dressed in a fancy black suit, Sherlock has his violin and bow at the ready.

Watson and Mrs. Hudson likely wait with anticipation to see if he will start screeching the instrument in boredom or begin playing a soft, but lovely melody to break up the silence of 221B Baker Street.

Sherlock Notebook

Whether you’re writing down what you need for the shopping or taking notes on your latest case, there are few things more important than a good notebook.

It is small enough to keep in your coat pocket or purse so you can take it with you when you’re out and about.

The cover shows a few texts from the show and is made of thick cardstock to give you some stability for writing notes while walking.

It comes with 50 pages of lined paper and 50 pages of unlined paper so you can write notes or draw sketches of crime scenes. Whatever your process is, this notebook is just plain fun.

Sherlock Door Wallet

This nifty wallet was made to look like the outer door to 221 Baker Street, Sherlock Holmes’ primary residence throughout the show.

It is made of faux leather and opens to reveal four credit card slots, multiple small pockets, and a zippered pouch in the middle. It’s the perfect size to carry everything you need when it’s time to hit the streets in search of clues to the case.

You can order it in brown or black, depending on your preferences.

221B Placard

This handmade home address placard is a great gift for someone to hang on their wall or on their door.

It says 221B Baker Street in gold lettering on a black background, the address that fans of Conan Doyle know so well as belonging to Sherlock Holmes and, usually, Dr. John Watson. It is five inches tall and a little over a foot long which is the perfect size to hang.

Keep in mind that it is made for indoor use so don’t let your friend hang it outside of their door.

Sherlock Hoodie

This simple hoodie is sure to keep your detective friend warm while they step out into the chilly London fog to solve crimes.

Or when they want something to snuggle up in to watch more episodes of Sherlock.

The hoodie is unisex and comes in a wide range of sizes and colors so that you can pick out something that your friend will absolutely adore.

Sherlock Phone Case

This snazzy phone case fits iPhones and Samsung phones alike. There are tons of devices listed for this phone case so just make sure you do a little detective work beforehand and discover what model your friend has.

Depicting the front door to 221 Baker Street, you can also choose a variety of styles. They offer slim cases, 2 in 1 slim cases for extra protection, tough cases for friends who frequently drop their mobiles, and wallet cases that can carry the phone and three cards.

Sherlock Pillow

If you have a friend with crazy interior decorating taste, or a love for Sherlock, then this pillow or pillowcase is the perfect gift.

The modern rendition of Sherlock Holmes shows Sherlock living in a flat with some pretty strange wallpaper that he never chooses to update. Instead, he ends up painting a giant yellow smiley face and eventually shooting holes through it.

Mrs. Hudson wasn’t well pleased to find holes in her wall, but what could she expect when the world’s only consulting detective was so darn bored?

Deerstalker Tea Cozy

Tea cozies aren’t as ubiquitous in America as they are in England, the country where they’ve made an art of making a cuppa, this adorable deerstalker tea cozy is one of the best gifts for a Sherlock fan.

For the uninitiated, a tea cozy fits snugly over a teapot to keep the tea warm while you enjoy a relaxing mug of your favorite brew. No matter how you take your tea, it is best drunk hot and the cozy will help it stay warm for the long rainy mornings.

Sherlock Cookie Cutter

This lovely cookie cutter lets you make cookies in the shape of the famous consulting detective, clad in his signature deerstalker with a thick smoking pipe clenched between his teeth.

The distinctive silhouette is a perfect addition to a birthday party or other celebratory event. The cookie cutter is made of PLA which is completely food-safe, although it needs to be washed by hand and not put in the dishwasher after use.

It comes in a variety of sizes based on your preference when recreating Baker Street.

The Complete Sherlock Holmes

Fans of the show would likely enjoy this thick tome. It contains all of the stories featuring Sherlock Holmes that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ever wrote. People who loved Sherlock will delight in reading about the detective that started it all.

Though they may notice that Cumberbatch and the writers took some serious liberties with Holmes’ demeanor and general attitude towards others, it is interesting to see how the cases were originally solved using nineteenth century technology.

The Complete Series of Sherlock

This official complete set from the BBC has all fourteen episodes of the four seasons of Sherlock, combined with the special episode The Abominable Bride on Blu-Ray.

Fans will love revisiting their favorite episodes with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as everyone’s favorite Sherlock Holmes and John Watson.

They may not always get along, and plenty of things come between them, but they’re always ready to partner up and solve a mystery when the game is afoot.
